Welcome...

ABOUT US

First and foremost, Pinellas County Copwatch is in no way here to bash police, or to make them look bad. Despite what most police and other skeptics think, Copwatch organizations are created, simply to monitor encounters between police and citizens, to ensure that proper procedure is being taken and that citizen’s civil rights are not being violated . Copwatch was created here in Pinellas County for a number of reasons. With one of those reasons being, the lack of effort by Pinellas County Law Enforcement to ensure that we’re really being protected from the thousands of criminals who walk our streets every day. Another reason we’re here, is to make sure that the Citizens of this county are well informed and educated about what they’re rights are. This is are main goal. The majority of people who become victims of police misconduct, become victims because they’re unaware of their constitutional rights and they allow police to persuade them into saying or doing things they normally wouldn’t. So for all of you reading this, please don’t think that we’re just another “hate group”, out to get the police. I welcome you to visit our website, to read more about what we do and what services we offer to the community. Also, you may email me with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank You- PCC
